BCR has become a Patron of the Shropshire Chamber of Commerce.

The firm, which has offices in Market Drayton and Newport, has thrown its weight behind the Chamber as it plans to unveil a new office in Shrewsbury.

The office, set to open this week, will accommodate a team of corporate recovery specialists who step in to help rescue companies facing financial difficulty or insolvency.

Managing director Phil Wood said: “As Licensed Insolvency Practitioners we spend every day guiding our clients through solutions from raising finance, negotiating with HMRC or the bank to help put their businesses back on track.

“Formal insolvency is the last resort and if that happens, it is good to know there are specialists on your doorstep in your home town who can support you through the trauma.

“Our new Shrewsbury office will be on hand to support business of all sizes should they encounter problems.”

The firm has been an active member of the Chamber for more than 10 years alongside its sister company Barringtons Chartered Accountants, also based in Newport and Market Drayton.

Chamber chief executive, Richard Sheehan, added: “We are delighted to welcome such a forward thinking and expanding company as BCR on board, having witnessed its contributions as Chamber members for over a decade.

“The patronage programme is a vital ingredient to elevate the level of support that we as a Chamber are able to provide to our members and the business community.

“It is currently going from strength to strength and its continued expansion enables us to provide additional support to businesses that would not otherwise be possible, so we are extremely grateful for the backing from BCR.”
