Our annual quiz proved another big hit in Nantwich raising £800 for hospice care.
General knowledge buffs flocked to take part in the British-themed evening at Residence Restaurant.
BCR managing director Phil Wood said: “The evening continues to grow in popularity and this year we had another full house. All tables were sold to teams from local businesses who also gave generously to the raffle.
“I am delighted the quiz has become so firmly established on the social calendar and raises such a sizeable sum for the hospices.”
Teams paid £50 to take part and were tested on their knowledge of all things British including questions on sport, geography, TV, music and current affairs.
There was further success for brainbox bankers from NatWest whose business team carried off the winner’s cup for the third time.
Other companies attending included accountants Howard Worth, bankers Barclays and Handelsbanken, solicitors Beswicks Legal, Bowcock & Pursail and Grindeys, estate agents and valuers Louis Taylor and past winners Myers Solicitors and Weaver Accountants.
Funds raised have been split between St Luke’s Cheshire Hospice in Winsford and Douglas Macmillan Hospice at Trentham.
